Doolittle Home thanks Tom and Stop And Shop for donating pill vials and candy so we may continue to distribute the fun promotional item.

Tom will be donating donated more than 900 pill vials throughout the year, helping the non for profit Doolittle Home promote on a tight marketing budget. “We are excited to assist Doolittle Home.”

Doolittle Home Thanks Rockland Trust

Rockland Trust has donated a senior friendly computer to the Doolittle Home. The donation will enable families and Doolittle Home residents to Skype via video chat to loved ones who live a distance from here.

“We are grateful for the generous support of Rockland Trust,” stated DeAnna Willis, Executive Director of Doolittle Home. “Their donation will help residents communicate and interact with families living far away who may not have been able to physically visit.”

Doolittle Home Thanks CVS Pharmacy in Foxboro

CVS is a well recognized name, but few know about their support with community initiatives.

Allison Nuovo, Doolittle Home’s marketing consultant came up with the idea of creating a pill bottle promotion filled with mint candies, pens, a miniature brochure and a clever label focused on the stress surrounding senior living options. She approached CVS Pharmacy of Foxboro and spoke with Sun Cho, pharmacy manager about the project.

Sun and her staff have donated more than 700 pill vials throughout the year, helping the non for profit Doolittle Home promote on a small marketing budget. “We are pleased to assist Doolittle Home” stated Sun.

Doolittle Home Thanks Dr. Leung of Foxboro Dental Associates

“What I like about Doolittle Home is a sense of service and great staff.” says Dr. Victor Leung, D.M.D., who graciously volunteers his time tending to the residents oral health care. “When I come to Doolittle Home, everything is set up for me to serve the residents quickly, efficiently, and meet their needs in a familiar setting. “

Dr. Leung graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. He graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine, 5th in his class, with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1995. He completed an additional one year General Practice Residency, at Boston City Hospital, with training in oral surgery, pediatrics and emergency room medicine. Dr Leung received his Certificate of Residency in 1996 and spent 9 years as an associate in Rhode Island, where he began his mission to assist elders with their oral hygiene at a nearby assisted living facility.

“I come from an upbringing where seniors have a much higher value in the family hierarchy. I believe strongly that seniors deserve to be treated and acknowledged with dignity and respect.”

Dr. Leung  joined Foxboro Dental Associates in November 2005, around the time when he was introduced to Doolittle Home.

Doolittle Home Thanks Judy and Mark of Judy’s Village Flowers

Judith and Mark Duffy have always been supportive of Doolittle Home’s cause of caring for seniors in the community for nearly 22 years. Before and after holidays, such as Valentine’s, Christmas, Mothers Day, and Thanksgiving, Mark delivers fresh flower arrangements that add distinctive beauty and delightful aromas to the home. “Seniors especially appreciate the beauty of flowers”.  Residents of Doolittle Home that have no family, Judy and Mark’s goal is to put a smile on their faces and let them know that someone cares. “It’s just a small gesture we can do to make a resident happy”. Says Mark, Judy’s son.

Judy’s Village Flowers is a family owned business started by Judy in 1990. Located in downtown Foxboro, at 34 School Street, Judy offers magnificent flower arrangements at many price levels. It’s worth a trip to the shop, as Judy has gifts, and many varieties of flowers to select from. Doolittle Home Thanks The Pappas Family of Dairy Queen in Foxboro

“I didn’t realize how important and what a positive effect it had on everybody”. George shares about the ice cream he donates to Doolittle Home.

We were introduced to Doolittle Home nearly 3 years ago. A new computer system created mistakes by doubling up orders, and rather than throwing the ice cream out, we decided the best solution was to donate the yummy treats  to Doolittle Home residents. “That’s how it all started.” And “I am so impressed how everyone is so appreciative here. “

George Pappas is Director Of Operations for Dairy Queen in Foxboro located at 122 Main Street. A family business started in 1968 by his father and uncle, George, his wife, and the friendly staff aim to bring smiles all year round.  “Oreo is my all time favorite ice-cream.” Says George.
